COVID-19 PCR test

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, fatigue, loss of taste and/or smell. The less common symptoms include difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, loss of speech or mobility, or confusion, chest pain, sore throat, headache, aches and pains, diarrhea, a rash on skin, or discoloration of fingers or toes, red or irritated eyes.

The biomedical study in cooperation with LSMU Kaunas Clinics and Kaunas Clinical hospital proved the efficacy of the test. The saliva PCR test demonstrated 98.15% Positive Agreement and 98.11% Negative Agreement with nasopharyngeal PCR tests used in clinical practice.

We recommend rinsing your mouth with water and drinking water one hour before sample collection to facilitate saliva collection. Do not eat, drink, smoke, brush your teeth or chew gum for an hour before collecting the saliva sample. Saliva collected in the morning just after getting up is not suitable for the test.

To perform the test at home, please place the order 1-3 business days before the desired testing date. Three options are available: You can pick up the saliva collection kit yourself; We can deliver the kit to you via regular courier service within 2-3 business days; We can deliver the kit to you via express courier service within a business day (this option is available in Vilnius only). After registration, a Google Meet link is sent along with the registration confirmation to conduct a video chat with the medical staff. You need to join the video call at the registered time. During the video interview, the medical staff member confirms your identity and instructs you how to collect the saliva and prepare it for transportation.

The saliva PCR test is suitable for travels to countries that require a certificate confirming negative results of the PCR (RT-PCR) test. On your request, we can issue the certificate, either printed and stamped or a digital version with electronic signatures, which you can print out before the trip. The certificates are available in three languages: Lithuanian, English, and Russian, with a QR code that ensures the authenticity of the test.
